Your story stays yours.
Surviving Unicorn invites people to share personal experiences with care. This page explains what happens when you contact the podcast or submit a story through the website.
What you may choose to share
The story form can include your name or chosen name, email address, pronouns, city or location, social handle, preferred interview format, and the story you choose to describe. Optional fields may be left blank.
How the website sends your submission
The current story form opens your email application and prepares a message to survivingunicornpodcast@gmail.com. Your information is sent only when you choose to send that email.
How submissions are used
Submissions are reviewed for possible podcast participation, written features, video conversations, collaborations, or follow-up communication. Sending a story does not give Surviving Unicorn permission to record, publish, post, or publicly identify you.
Consent before publication
If the team wants to move forward with your story, additional communication and consent are required before anything is recorded or published. You remain in control of what you are comfortable discussing.
Sensitive information
Stories may involve private, emotional, legal, medical, or traumatic experiences. Please share only what you are comfortable sending by email. Avoid including passwords, financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other information that is not needed to understand your story.
Questions or requests
To ask a privacy question, correct information you sent, or request deletion of a submission from the podcast inbox, email survivingunicornpodcast@gmail.com.
